Our Online Check-In Process
Online check-in is the process a passenger may confirm seat selection and obtain a boarding pass through our website or mobile application.
At some international airports, on the day of your flight, if you do not have baggage to check in, you may proceed straight to the boarding gate. At all domestic airports in Nigeria, you are required to print a boarding pass at the check-in counter before proceeding to board the flight, even if you have completed the check-in process online.
If you need to check in any baggage, we advise you to check in online and, on the day of your flight, go to the check-in desk at the airport to drop off your bags. Where excess baggage fees apply, you shall be required to pay such fees at the counters before the baggage is accepted for flight.
- Online check-in opens 24 hours before the scheduled departure time of your flight. Customers can select a seat if they check-in online within the stipulated time before each ticketed flight.
- You cannot check in online after airport check-in has opened.
- Once you have checked in online you can print copies of your boarding pass or download them to your mobile phone. However, for all domestic flights, your boarding pass must be printed.
- For your safety and security, and for the safety and security of fellow passengers and the airline crew, the check-in process must be completed by you personally.
- Customers who check-in online for the flight can receive a virtual Boarding Pass at their nominated e-mail address. We recommend that this should be downloaded on your mobile device and/or printed on paper.
- Online sessions remain active for a maximum period of 15 (fifteen) minutes, within which Passengers are required to complete the web check-in process.
- Airport check-in desks close strictly 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time for domestic flights; and 60 minutes before scheduled departure of international flights. If you do not check-in by this time, you may be denied boarding.
- At the discretion of Ibom Air, online check-in may not be available for certain persons: these include unaccompanied minors, persons with certain medical conditions, etc.
Important Notice
Passengers who have completed their Check-in online but who need to hand over their checked baggage or another item that is not eligible for transportation inside the aircraft cabin or who have Special Service requests (e.g., persons with reduced mobility, with special health conditions or carrying pets) must be at the check-in desk at the airport on time to do so. It is advisable that these types of passengers be at the airport counters at least 3 hours before scheduled departure time of their flight.
- For reasons of flight safety and flight security, as assessed by the airline personnel, passengers below age 18; passengers travelling with infants or passengers whose ability to move or whose health condition is unsuitable to assume the necessary responsibilities in an emergency will not be allowed to seat at emergency exit rows.
- Please bear in mind that even if you may have completed your check-in online, you may be required by our personnel to sit in a seat other than the seat assigned to you during Check-in due to a change in the aircraft type or on grounds of flight safety or flight security.
Passengers are required to correctly provide the information requested during online Check-in process.
